• Egg Stage: Laid by female fleas while on the animal host. They generally fall off the host and hatch after 10 days.
• Larvae Stage: Wormlike in appearance, they burrow into dark areas such as carpeting, pet bedding, etc. and feed on skin scales or flea droppings.
• Cocoon Stage: The larvae spin a tiny cocoon where they “morph” into an adult flea.
• Adult Stage: Immediately upon hatching, the adult looks for a suitable host (your pet!) and the cycle starts all over again!

Now that you know what you're up against - you can fight the flea battle and win! If your environment isn't pest-free, your dogs and cats won't be free of fleas and ticks for long. A good general insecticide spread in the backyard can help guarantee that your pets won't pick up hitchhikers every time they need to go out.
