Hello Everyone...

Our wee weenie "Kasey" is at the doctor's office right now. I took her in this morning.


Please say a prayer for her as we think she may have injured her back. She will be four years old in April (just a pup yet) and she is getting x-rays and bloodwork done right now. I can't pick her up until after 2:00pm today.

Many of you may remember Kasey was born with a birth defect in her back leg which causes her to limp a little bit. I noticed for the past few month she has been having difficulty jumping on the couch and many times needs help getting up there. Something happened yesterday -- not sure what. There is nothing more horrible than hearing your little baby cry out in pain.

Me and Mr. Mary and Hanna are all very worried about her. Please keep her in your prayers.

Oh poor Kasey, puppy well wishes being sent out

Well I got some good news about Kasey from the vet ... there are no signs of anything broken or torn, etc. in her back (according to xrays). (Thank you GOD!)

However, she definitely did strain herself pretty bad and she needs to rest, rest, rest. So we have to watch her very carefully... no jumping, running, playing... you know all the stuffs weener doggies love to do.

It's not going to be easy keeping her "quiet"... but we have no choice. I have told Miss Hanna she needs to cooperate too! So she better not be bugging Kasey to play!

Please keep Kasey in your prayers... she is still a very sick little doggie. She is home now... resting... and she wants her Momma to hold her a lot.

Kasey the Weener Dog is hanging in there as best she can. When she is hurting its kills me to see her sad little eyes looking up at me... sniffles.... and she is being a little Momma's baby. Everybody wants Momma when they don't feel good. She will walk slowly over to me and give a little "squeak" cuz she wants to be picked up. (((Kasey)))

I was chatting with Deb earlier and telling her that Kasey would be perfectly content to stay wrapped in her warm towel or blanket with me holding her... allllllllll day long. LOL!

Yesterday I had to leave to go to the bank... and I handed her over to Mr. Mary and she went nuts... she did NOT want me to leave. But I did... and she survived... but Jamey said she keeped walking pathetically around the house looking for me.

Her blood work came back late yesterday afternoon and all is well there so we were able to give her the pain/anti-inflamatory drugs which helps a little. I don't want her to feel "too good" or she could hurt herself more if she doesn't feel the pain.

Hanna and Maggie are being really good too. They know Kasey doesn't feel good -- so for the most part they are very sweet to her. Last night Maggie even gave up her preemo spot on the bed for Kasey. Imagine that!

Kasey the Weener Dog Update...

Well let me just tell you that yesterday morning was one of the worst mornings I can ever remember in my life...

Yesterday morning after Kasey had finished her breakfast, I went to pick her up to take her outside to go potty (she's not supposed to move around too much).

I must have picked her up "wrong" because she started crying and crying.... OMG I wanted to die. It took a long time for us to calm her down... and I was a fucking mess for the rest of the day...

And if that wasn't enough... today was worse... I'll tell you about that in a bit.. we just got home from the vet. She is sleeping in her crate right now... and Momma is ready to have a nervous breakdown...

Ok... so "I" took a nice valium and went to go lay down... the drama and trauma have taken their tole on me...

She was WAY buzzed by the time we got her home from the vet yesterday- which is good cuz she just laid in her little cage on her blanket and she slept quietly through the night. (YAY!)

Momma also took some night night pills and slept through the night as well.

Kasey had a pretty good morning and day so far. No crying yet today and I am so greatful for that! She is being a little trooper about staying in her cage... Momma is very proud of her. I have no idea how long this "good behavior" will last - but we will take every minute of it we can.

We have been acting like her being in there is the most normal thing in the world. And it helped that that is where we put her the second we got home from the Vet... so hopefully she "gets it" a little bit. Please keep your prayers and good vibes coming for my wee weenie...

Yahooo that Kasey and Mommy got sleep last night.

Keeping fingers and toes crossed that tonight is a sleepful night as well.

I'm so glad Kasey and Mommy got a good nights sleep.
Hopefully this will continue
