Okay folks....being that its June and we have finally come out of hibernation there are all kinds of fundraisers going on and you guys may feel inindated with stuff....

But today I just want to post some collages that 1 of the ladies on the Island made for everyones viewing pleasure....they are beautiful, sad, hopeful and moving so I hope you like them.....

the 1st one is of 1 of the Gibbons rescue mares and her 2007 baby...



This next one is a memorial collage to all the souls that have passed over to the rainbow bridge.....they are the reason we continue to do what we do and to make the changes for the lives of those still to come.....

They passed at the rescue and the last thing that they learned was ...that some people do care......

I posted it because they are the spirit that pushes us all to be better, a reminder of all the things that we are capable of doing for our animals....we carry on with their names on our lips and their hearts alive in ours....

They honour us, as they should have been honoured and they humble us...always....

Mary, we will be making one up in the fall I believe with Ms Savannah....

Its weird some people see the memorials as a way of exploiting the horses deaths for donations...

But I want people to know that these horses were Loved, and that people cried for them....

and we cant keep continuing to do this without realizing the cost to these beautiful horses....

Sometimes this world doesnt make any sense to me, and if I can be part of saving one horse, one life then it keeps me in balance...so really...their saving me.....
